Cameroon-France: new lines of scientific cooperation are emerging

The National Center for Scientific Research (Cnrs) of France paid a contact visit to the Institute of Geological and Mining Research (Irgm) on Wednesday March 16, 2022.

Scientists from one of the largest research centers in the world, based in France, plan to strengthen ties with those in Cameroon. A delegation from the Cnrs, considered the largest scientific research center in Europe, is in Cameroon. She is studying the contours of the creation of an annex of Cnrs France in Cameroon, which will serve as a focal point in Africa. It is thus a question of identifying the axes of cooperation in order to formalize the links.

In this perspective, the members of this delegation criss-cross the reference institutions and structures in charge of scientific research in Cameroon. To this end, under the leadership of the Deputy Director General for Science Alain Schuhl, the mission paid a contact visit this Wednesday, March 16, 2022 to the Institute of Geological and Mining Research (Irgm) located in the Nkolbisson district in Yaoundé .
